Beyond the known Earth, far east of Oracula and south of the frozen seas, stretched the endless continent of Eiwass. Its deserts moved like living oceans beneath a black sky filled with silent stars. The Eiwass were feared by every traveler. They had no bodies, only enormous living heads buried deep within the sand. Ancient symbols covered their skin, and glowing eyes watched from beneath the dunes. During the night, they drifted beneath the desert like creatures swimming through water. The Eiwass guarded forgotten knowledge from before the first continents rose from darkness. Their minds were connected through invisible currents beneath the sands, allowing them to dream together across the entire wasteland. One night the dunes began to split apart, revealing a massive stone gate hidden below Eiwass for thousands of years. From the darkness beneath the gate came a cold light that spread slowly across the desert sky.
