Beyond the Earth Belt, on the hidden continent of Zerzuba, lies a world of warm mist, red swamps, and ancient ruins that do not appear on any known map. There lives a people called the Mavero, an ancient tribe whose culture is deeply connected to spiritual voodoo traditions and nature based rituals.
The Mavero wear carved masks made of wood, bone, and woven plant fibers. Their bodies are marked with living symbols that slowly shift during ceremonies. For them, there is no separation between spirit and matter. Everything is part of one network of energy, memory, and natural force. Their settlements are built as floating huts that drift above the swamps, moving gently with the breath of the mist. At the center of each village burns an eternal fire fed by plants, herbs, and ritual offerings. The Mavero believe the voices of their ancestors live within the fog. These voices do not speak in words but appear as drum patterns, movements in the water, and shifting shadows in the dark. Once every cycle, the clans gather for the Rite of Rebinding, where the mist becomes a bridge between the living and the ancestors. In these moments, even memories of the world are said to be reshaped. But an old warning remains. If the drums never stop, something deep within the swamps of Zerzuba awakens, something that does not belong to their world.
