South of the continent of Sequoya, beyond the burning deserts at the edge of the Flat Earth, lay the hidden continent of Oracula. Towering black mountains covered its lands, and rivers of glowing fire flowed beneath the stone. The Oracula were an ancient dragon people with dark scales, golden eyes, and massive wings that could carry them across the endless sky. Unlike humans, they remembered the first age of the world, when the stars moved closer to the Earth and strange gods walked among living creatures. For centuries the dragons guarded the Heart Flame, a crystal hidden beneath the volcanic throne of Oracula. Legends claimed the flame kept the sky barrier around the Flat Earth stable. When the flame began to weaken, storms opened above the continent and enormous shadows appeared beyond the heavens. The young dragon Kaelor flew beyond the world’s edge and discovered ancient creatures rising from the void between worlds. He returned to Oracula knowing the barrier protecting all continents was slowly breaking apart.
