According to legend, the Umurangi once walked the plains of the normal Earth in a forgotten age, when Africa was still young and the stars hung lower in the sky. They were said to be hunters of impossible beasts and builders of cities carved directly into living rock. When the great separation of worlds occurred, they were pulled through a cosmic fracture into the Second Belt. On Umurangi they rebuilt their existence around war drums that echo across continents and rituals that bind storms to their will. Entire armies move with the rhythm of thunder, and their leaders are said to command lightning like spears. Deep within their continent stands the Blood Horizon, a vast red storm that never fades. It is believed to be the memory of their passage from Earth, still calling them toward forgotten lands below the stars.
