In the high valleys of the Valmyrian realm, the Valmyrians prepared for the sacred “Last Ash,” when all fires are extinguished to renew the world’s flame. But that winter, something was wrong. The winds of Aelun, the Wind Father, had fallen silent, and no ancestral whispers reached the wooden chimes. Thyra, the Ember Mother, was restless, her sacred flame flickering weakly, while Morveth, the Silent Stone, remained unchanged and unsettling. On the night of the ritual, the Valmyrians gathered in the stone basin, but no new fire descended. Heavy silence filled the valley. Then a young Valmyrian girl stepped forward and sang in the ancient Valmyric tongue, imitating wind and ember with her voice. The wind slowly returned, responding to her breath. A single spark fell from the sky. The fire was reborn—not granted by gods, but awakened through memory and song, proving that even in silence, the Valmyrians carry their world within them.
