The Zerathi are an ancient race of shapeshifters that wander between the hidden realms of the Earth Belt. Instead of traveling through space, they move through shifting pathways between continents, forgotten lands, and layered realities that appear only during rare alignments. A Zerathi has no fixed form. Their bodies constantly shift through green and brown patterns resembling bark, moss, stone, and flowing skin. They adapt their appearance to every environment and can imitate living creatures, though their eyes always reveal faint moving symbols beneath the surface. The Zerathi do not conquer kingdoms or build empires. Their purpose is observation. They travel through worlds collecting memories, histories, and emotional patterns which they preserve inside living Resonance Archives hidden beneath ancient ruins and forests. They communicate through neural synchronization rather than spoken language. Entire groups share thoughts and decisions instantly through connected awareness. Humans first encountered the Zerathi when explorers entered an abandoned structure deep beneath the continent of Atum. The halls appeared empty at first, but the walls slowly began to move and reshape themselves around the visitors. The structure was never abandoned. It was alive. The Zerathi continue to move silently between realities searching for hidden patterns that connect all worlds beneath the Dome.
